I am pleased to announce the release of f90gl version 1.2, the Fortran 90 interface for OpenGL, Mesa and GLUT. The major changes since version 1.1 are: -- support for the new features in OpenGL 1.2 -- support for the new features in GLUT 3.7 -- support for most Windows 95/98/NT Fortran 90 compilers -- support for more Unix environments OpenGL is a software interface for applications to generate interactive 2D and 3D computer graphics independent of operating system, window system, and hardware operations. Mesa is a 3D graphics library with an API which is very similar to that of OpenGL. GLUT is the OpenGL Utility Toolkit, a window system independent API toolkit for writing OpenGL programs. f90gl is available as source code. It was produced as work done by the US Government and is not subject to copyright in the United States. You can learn more about f90gl or obtain the package at http://math.nist.gov/f90gl William F.
