r. Pozo
is a research scientist in the Applied and Computational
Mathematics Division, where he
investigates issues in high perforamnce scientific computation,
including object oriented techniques for scientific computing,
numerical linear algebra, and software environments and tools for
parallel computing.
He is the principle designer of several C++ numerical
linear algebra libraries, including IML++, SparseLib++, MV++, LAPACK++,
the Template Numerical Toolkit (TNT). Dr. Pozo is also
coauthor of the book,
"Templates for the Solution of Linear Systems: Building Blocks for Iterative
Methods", and one of the original developers of
Matrix Market. Recently, Dr. Pozo was awarded the
Presidential
Early Career Award for his contributions in linear algebra
software and computing.
