Matrix Market Exchange Formats Proposed

February 1997

NISTIR 5935, Matrix Market Exchange Formats: Initial Design, proposes elememtary ASCII exchange formats for matrices. Specific instances of the format are defined for dense and sparse matrices with real, complex, integer, and pattern entries, with special cases for symmetric, skew-symmetric, and Hermitian matrices. Ronald Boisvert, Roldan Pozo, and Karin Remington co-authored the document.
