Abstract:
With help from almost 50 outside experts, NIST is constructing an
authoritative Web site and handbook to provide important properties of
special functions to physicists, engineers, applied mathematicians, and
others. Current search systems are good for text but not for math
equation search. NIST has developed an equation+text search system,
which will be introduced and demonstrated in this talk. All NISTers
will be invited to experiment with the system and provide feedback to
the developers.
