The `Forsythe' matrix is a
Jordan Block
(with parameter Lambda on the diagonal and 1 on the off-diagonal) and with a perturbation, A

=alpha, for Order=n, and parameter alpha. The characteristic equation is
DET(A-t*I) = (Lambda-t)^n - (-1)^n Alpha.
