This is a Java applet which generates the (N+1)-by-N matrix whose first row is all 1s, and whose first lower diagonal contains all MUs. It is a well-known example in least squares and other problems that indicates the dangers of forming A^TA.

This generator was developed by Bruce Miller of NIST based on Nick Higham's Test Matrix Toolbox for MATLAB.

Parameters:

COLS	number of columns
MU	constant on first lower diagonal
