This is a Java applet which generates a Jordan block with ALPHA in the (N,1) position. A Jordan block is a bidiagonal matrix with constant diagonal and ones on the first upper diagonal.

This generator was developed by Bruce Miller of NIST based on Nick Higham's Test Matrix Toolbox for MATLAB.

Parameters:

Norder of the matrix.
LAMBDArepeated diagonal element.
ALPHAperturbation (value of element A(N,1)).
