This web page is a visualization of a facility built approximatly in 1999-2000 and described in the paper: "A Low Temperature STM System for the Study of Quantum and Spin Electronic Systems" by Joseph A. Stroscio, R. J. Celotta, S. Blankenship, E. Hudson, and A. P. Fein.
Usage tips:
- Select a viewpoint button to change the point of view.
- Clicking on the 3D portions of the facility will bring up a dialog telling you what you clicked. (not all objects respond yet)
- Clicking on the thin rod in the center of the facility, above the cryostat will link to a model of just the STM head.
You hit the metal chamber
