LSQ: Least squares problems in surveying

from the Harwell-Boeing Collection

Set LSQ
Source: Michael Saunders, SOL, Stanford University.
Discipline: Surveying
Accession: Summer 1979

Four matrices from the least-squares solution of problems in surveying that were used by Michael Saunders and Chris Paige in the testing of LSQR. The second and fourth matrix have the same pattern as the first and third respectively but are much more ill-conditioned with respect to conjugate gradients.

These matrices were used to test iterative methods.
